Pokémon's Gameboy Color soundtrack is out on vinyl

If you were born in the early '90s, it's almost a certainty you were well into Pokémon.

You'd be collecting the trading cards and swapping them at school, pretending to catch the characters in a Poké Ball or, most likely, staring into the screen of a Gameboy Color for hours on end as you made your way around Kanto.

If your obsession with Pokémon has now been swapped with one for music, you'll be ecstatic to hear the soundtrack from the Pokémon Red and Blue games is now out on vinyl. Yep, those dizzying childhood bleeps composed by Junichi Masuda can now be heard on wax for the first time ever.

Out on Moonshake Records, the vinyl itself is coloured in the same way as the Poké Ball and the sleeve looks to feature more or less every single creature, with Pikachu fronting the line, of course.

It looks like the original 500 copies available are sold out, but you can request a stock availability notification on Turntable Lab where the release is going for $49.95.
