Pioneering music industry conference 'Take Note' to host first edition in London
The event will focus on developing young talent
The first edition of electronic music industry conference Take Note has been announced to take place on November 21, 2015.
The conference is geared towards fledgling talents, focusing on helping music students and young professionals develop themselves and progress their careers in a "comfortable, inspiring and inviting environment."
Take Note will be hosted in East London cultural hub Second Home, which will be transformed for live acts and DJ performances after 7pm.
A strong roster of industry insiders have been lined up to speak at the conference, spanning DJs, managers, promoters and global music publication heads.
Names announced to appear so far include Mixmag Editor Duncan Dick, Resident Advisor co-founder Nick Sabine, producer and songwriter Jimmy Napes, and DJs Alex Arnout, Ben Pearce, Clive Henry, and Roni Size. Many more are set to be added.
Electronic music school Point Blank will also present production masterclasses across the day.
Another vital aspect of the conference is the Inspire Or Hire scheme, which aims to give young people the opportunity to meet intimately with established music industry professionals. This valuable face-to-face time will provide the chance to apply for work experience and internships, pitch ideas, or ask for career advice.
Tickets are on sale now from Resident Advisor, priced at £40 for earlybirds through to £60 for final release.
