Optimo Music is launching an anti-fascist label
The new politically-charged label will replace Optimo Trax
Glasgow-based Optimo Music imprint has announced the forthcoming closure of one of its sublabels, but will soon be launching a brand new, politically-charged replacement.
Optimo Trax, was originally incepted with the intention of releasing 33 12" singles. Now, with the 33 release scheduled, JD Twitch has announced that the imprint will close. (Though he still reserves the right "to reactive it at some later point for another run of 33 releases".)
In its stead, Optimo Music is now putting out a call for new, genre-defying music that "doesn't have a rigid four to the floor drum pattern but will still cause people to move on a dancefloor" for an unnamed imprint that will also take a "in your face anti-fascist" stance.
