Novelist goes it alone as he leaves The Square
He says "shifty" things have been going on
Novelist has announced his departure from South London grime crew The Square.
The self-professed 'Lewisham don' took to Twitter earlier today to reveal his exit, expressing plans to concentrate on his own work.
I've left TheSquare. Shifty things have been happening for a while & I'm 18 carrying a lot of people's careers alone. Time to be myself.
What he means by "shifty" remains unknown, but no doubt more information will surface in the coming days.
While together, the group - including DeeJillz, Elf Kid, Lolingo, Streema, Faultsz, Syder, Hilts, Dee Cee, Blakie and Grandmixxer - released 'The Formula' mixtape on No Hats No Hoods, featuring bouncy riddim 'Pengaleng'.
The Mumdance collaborator also recently said his debut album's close to being finished, self-producing the whole thing, and it will feature 'Yakuta Riddim' (below).
