Legendary disco band CHIC are in the process of producing their first studio album since 1992 and have enlisted recently retired EDM superstar Avicii to help with the new material.

Nile Rodgers, the musical genius behind CHIC, revealed to the National that he was working with the Swedish producer last month. Now A representative for Avicii confirmed the reports, according to Billboard.

Last year Rodgers wrote a blog post to announce the album, which is titled ‘It's About Time’, but said it wasn’t the right moment to release it, referring to 2016 as “A Year of So Many Deaths”. A number of legendary musicians whom Rodgers admired, respected and worked with died, including David Bowie, Prince, Glenn Fry and Paul Kantner.

With regards to Prince, Rodgers touched on how the album is influenced by him: "When Prince suddenly died, it was like I'd been struck by lighting twice. It made me "see" why I named the next CHIC album "It's About Time." Time is so important, and what we do with it is everything."

Other artist who collaborated with CHIC on new material for the album include Lady Gaga and Pharrell, as reported by the National. No release date has been shared at this time.
