Moby channels Black Mirror in new animated video
Check out the dystopian clip for ‘Are You Lost in the World Like Me?’
Moby has joined forces with The Void Pacific Choir to release their debut collaborative album titled ‘These Systems Are Failing’, which came out last week.
Now the American artist has called upon animator Steve Cutts to direct a video for single ‘Are You Lost in the World Like Me?’.
The clip paints a bleak portrait of society’s obsession with mobile phones, characterising the populous as an army of drones with no interest in the real world, and depicting scenes such as crowds gathering to film the suicide of a young girl and a person kicking a puppy.
It feels tonally similar to Charlie Brooker’s popular Black Mirror TV series, which depicts dystopian images of technology’s adverse effect on the future of mankind.
