Marco Carola played for 24 hours at Sunwaves Festival in Romania
Yes, a whole 24 hours on his own
We imagine Marco Carola slept well after Romania's Sunwaves Festival last weekend. Why? The Italian selector was on the decks for 24 hours, apparently.
Now, he's no stranger to prolonged sets (him and Loco Dice played all night long together during the Winter Music Conference in March), but going it alone, for one whole day, takes some doing.
A few videos and photos are doing the rounds, and it's no surprise he had to sit on a stall for part of it. Still, at least he had a load of support on stage with him to keep him rolling.
Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards and tINI were also on the line-up, although the latter says she didn't get to play because of "unforeseen circumstances". Coincidence?
Not to take anything away from the Music On boss, but he's got a long way to go if he wants to trump the world record of longest DJ set, a mega 200 hours achieved by Norberto Loco at The Underground Temple Bar in Dublin last year.
