Leipzig club Institut für Zukunft hit with curfew following complaints
“We need your support now more than ever”
World renowned Leipzig club Institut für Zukunft has been issued a curfew that will force the venue to shut down between 5 am and 6 am.
Although the German city boasts a no curfew policy for nightlife, going so far as to advertise it in travel brochures, repeated complaints from local residents have prompted authorities to issue the curfew.
With Institut für Zukunft being known for its early morning sessions, the time of the curfew, albeit a short hour long closure, will disrupt the flow of events.
The club posted a message saying it will comply with the curfew for now: “Since we're on a fast and common solution with the residents inside the city, we will keep the curfew for the time being. The parties will of course continue after 6 am. Come on over - and especially stay with us, we need your support now more than ever!”
