Kölsch

When it comes to epic, overblown synths, hands-in-the-air moments and general euphoria- inducing dance music, Kölsch has it on lock.

He's responsible for some of the biggest tunes of the festival season, including 'Der Alte' and 'Goldfisch' and now he returns to German gold mine Kompakt for 'Speicher 84'.

While 'DerDieDas' and 'Two Birds' both maintain the classic Kölsch aesthetic, they just feel a little regurgitated.

The giant, glitzy synths are there, as are the prolonged builds, but it feels like the German producer has just tweaked his winning formula slightly to create two lazy tracks.

People will no doubt go crazy for these – but we're just not as convinced this time around.
