Kurupt FM have signed with XL Recordings
The group ‘offishally’ announced the deal on Twitter this morning
Kurupt FM have signed to XL Recordings and will be releasing 'The Lost Tape' later this year.
The hosts of the fictional pirate radio station from BBC Three’s comedy series ‘People Just Do Nothing’ took to Twitter to share the signing of the deal. In the video MC Grindah signs a contract then hands out a stack of £5 notes to the crew. .
XL Recordings also posted a picture of the group posing with the newly signed contract. The British record label has previously worked with likes of The Prodigy, Dizzee Rascal and MIA.
Since 2013, Kurupt FM have hosted their event 'Champagne Steam Rooms' around the country, played at Fabric's birthday and performed at Glastonbury.
The groups involvement with the renowned record label possibly signals a stepping stone into more serious music making territory.
