James Blake introduces 'Modern Soul' on BBC Radio 1
The first taste of what new material from the UK mainstay
During his monthly residency on BBC Radio 1, James Blake unveiled his newest single, 'Modern Soul.' The number, soulful in Blake's signature way, counterbalances his smooth vocal spots with metallic clangs and a pitchy flare that reappears throughout the new track.
Though unconfirmed by Blake himself, 'Modern Soul' is likely the first from his next album effort, 'Radio Silence', which he first spoke about mid-2015. Along with the first whisperings about his album, Blake also confirmed that Kanye West and Jules Verne of Bon Iver would be featured guests on 'Radio Silence' as well. No further details have been confirmed about the album since.
