Honey Soundsystem is the San Francisco beats outfit comprising of Jason Kendig, Jackie House, Josh Cheon, and Robot Hustle and if smooth grooves and spanky house is your thing, you'd best get acquainted.

With a united mission of bringing their sounds into gay nightclubbing, the quartet experienced a huge surge of popularity with their parties and now they've hosted the likes of Todd Terje, Horse Meat Disco and Hercules & Love Affair.

Next up to release on their imprint is the "heavily shoulder-padded" DJ, Jackie House and 'Stydive' is a suitably chunky affair. There are thick basslines and slick percussions but it's what Matrixxman's done to it that's really impressive.

Also from the Bay Area, Matrixxman has stripped everything back and turned the track into a heavy-artillery techno weapon. Fierce, venomous twangs come flying in between pounding kicks and ferocious clicks. This one should come with a health warning.
