DJ Harvey to launch Pikes Records with 'The Sound Of Mercury Rising’
The compilation of tracks will celebrate the spirit of his Pikes residency
Alongside his new role of Cultural Attaché for Pikes Hotel in Ibiza, DJ Harvey will mint the first release on the club’s new record label.
‘The Sound Of Mercury Rising’ is a compilation of tracks that embodies the spirit of his Pikes residency that started in 2015, and is due for release on September 29.
Harvey will be returning to Pikes for his third residency of ‘Mercury Rising’ from August, 7 where his infamous all night long sets will be running until September 25 at the White Isle spot.
Pikes Records is founded by Pikes owners and Ibiza Rocks co-Founders Andy McKay and Dawn Hindle.
Speaking about the label, Harvey said "I see so many avenues to work together to release music, everything from live recordings from Ibiza Rocks and Pikes, mix tapes, original productions, showcasing new artists, there's all sorts of avenues to open up."
DJ Harvey has also got Global residencies planned throughout the summer at some of the worlds best clubs including Berghain, Ministry of Sound and Concrete.
