At an event in London yesterday, Devialet unveiled the Phantom Music Centre, a revolutionary new product they believe will change the hi-fi industry forever.

Already known for making ridiculously expensive amplifiers, the Phantom is the first all in one solution from the French brand, combining powerful speakers with an amplifier and a wealth of streaming opportunities.

On the outside, the Phantom and its more powerful Silver Phantom look unique, with their curved form also helping to distribute sound - wherever they're placed in the room. Inside, Devialet have used 77 patents to ensure that the Phantom will produce music from your phone, laptop or tablet - just as the artist intended.

After receiving your music, the Phantom uses ADH Intelligence to supplement analog with digital amplification for a truer sound - giving you the character of an analog amplifier but with the power and linear response of a digital one. At the same time, Devialet's Heart Bass Implosion technology allows the Phantom to be as compact as possible, using seriously high internal pressure to deliver big volumes from a small unit.

Like many other music centres, the Phantom is also multi room capable, so after buying an additional Dialogue link box, you can pair two or more units together for fully immersive sound. When using Devialet's tailor made Spark app, users can control several Phantoms around the home - with a current cap of 24.

Comprising of two aluminium large bass drivers as well as a mid range cone and tweeter, the standard Phantom delivers 750W of sound, whilst the larger Silver Phantom can put 3000W behind your music. As you'd expect with a company with such a focus on uncoloured, untouched sound, both the Phantom and the Silver Phantom feature a perfectly flat response, so they can handle Wagner's Ring Cycle just as well as a Roots Manuva track.

The Phantom and Silver Phantom are available now online and in Harrods, priced £1390 for the Phantom and £1690 for the Silver Phantom.
