Listen to Booka Shade's 'Movements 10' featuring Andhim, Deetron and more
Consisting of remastered versions as well as remixes by a wealth of producers
Booka Shade have released their highly-anticipated 'Movements 10' album and with it, head out on a world tour, making stops in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London and more.
In 2006, Booka Shade unveiled their iconic album ‘Movements’ to critical acclaim. 10 years later, they've delivered a remastered version along with a remix album consisting of reinterpretations from Eats Everything, Nils Frahm, Deetron and more.
When describing why they chose to revisit the seminal material, Booka Shade suggest that it was a natural part of their creative process: “A song is never finished. An album is never finished. An album is only a status quo – it's just the moment you're in, at the moment that you commit it to release. But as soon as it's finished you want it to be something else. The song or album is a constant process.”
With the original ‘Movements’ album featuring influential tracks like ‘Night Falls’, ‘Mandarine Girl’, ‘Lost High’, ‘In White Rooms’ and ‘Wasting Time’, the remixes build on its significance by also tapping artists like Jonas Rathsman, Dennis Ferrer, Patrick Topping, M.A.N.D.Y, Andhim and more to offer their renditions.
Booka Shade is also giving away the very same KORG microKORG used in producing the original album.
