Barely Legal presents new label Pretty Weird, with first release from Near
Remixes from Sam Binga and TSVI on deck
Tapping Bristol-based producer Near for a heavy three track club release, Barely Legal launches her new label Pretty Weird in loud, proud style.
Having honed her skills as a selector for the likes of Rinse FM, Outlook, and fabric, her latest project is set to champion her cross-genre reputation.
According to the press release, the label is an, “outlet designed to represent the many facets of UK Dance music whilst holding dear the same sense of eclecticism present in her DJ sets.”
Near's 'Static' EP is the imprint's first release. Bursting with burly bass and clever sound design, remixes from the likes of Sam Binga and TSVI up the tempo and add a drum-heavy, tribal edge to the inaugural offering.
