A Saudi Arabian man has been arrested for dabbing at a festival
It's criminalised in the desert country
Ridiculously popular dance move the dab might not be to everyone's taste, but you'd never think it could amount to a criminal offence.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have criminalised the move, though, and performer Abdallah Al Shahani has been arrested after performing the arms up, head down move at a music festival in the city of Taif.
Unfortunately for him, it was a viral video of him performing the move that probably alerted the law and led to the arrest.
The Interior Ministry’s National Commission for Combatting Drug Use banned the dab in the desert country because of its apparent link to marijuana use. A warning poster claims the dab would have a negative impact on "youth and society".
After the festival, Al Shahani apologised for dabbing on Twitter.
