Rudeboyz 'Sambuka Dance'

Rudeboyz self-titled EP on Goon Club is dedicated to partying, hence the title of this track.

The three-piece are from Durban, South Africa, and specialise in Gqom, a sub-genre of house that's very popular in the area. Their sound is driving and focused, the kind of thing that pushes crowds to dance right through the night.

Hodge dropped 'Sambuka Dance' during his set on the massive Wow! stage and it was brilliant to hear such a niche beat played out to thousands of people (and hundreds more outside – the tent was mobbed!) A strong selection from the Bristol DJ, who tore through a techno party set that also included productions from Floorplan, Radio Slave and Kowton.
