Pioneer DJ's DDJ-SX3 controller is prime for back-to-back sets
The successor to the Serato-enabled DDJ-SX2 is here
Pioneer DJ has unveiled the DDJ-SX3 controller, the newest product in the line of Serato DJ Pro-enabled controllers, promising expanded connectivity and the addition of features from other well-loved Pioneer DJ products.
The major features from the DDJ-SX2 remain, but Pioneer DJ has squeezed an extra dedicated mic input onto the front of the unit, with its own level control and FX. Under the hood, an extra USB soundcard and input improve flexibility for handovers, playing back-to-back or simply keeping a backup for emergencies.
Elsewhere sound colour effects, that users of other Pioneer DJ mixers will know, have been added; and the latency of the jog wheels has been improved.
With licences for Serato DJ Pro, and the Serato Flip and Pitch ‘n Time expansion packs included, the controller is priced at a very cool £969, and is available from early June.
