Montreal-based DJ, producer and label head honcho Dave Allison finally unleashes his first LP under his Ed Wizard & Disco Double Dee moniker – and it’s been worth the wait. First up, ‘Slo Mo Disco’ brings together everything you could possibly need for your poolside vibes, touching on deeper house moods and funky old-school hip hop elements layered with obscure samples and killer organic musicianship; it’s a total party from its first minute to its last. ‘Keep On Loving You’ has something equally special about it, too, with trippy gospel piano deployed over a female vocal refrain, rough percussion and a tight bassline that pulls you straight onto the dancefloor and never lets you go.
