In Session: Lucy

His intricate, four track 'War Lullaby' EP with Ben Klock was one of 2015's stand-out releases and was followed by 'The Lotus Eaters' in 2016, which saw him unite with Rrose (one of the EP's tracks Chloroform is about as feral and metallic as you can get). Add to that a split EP with Marcel Dettmann and you see a producer who's just as well versed in working individually as he is with another artistic mind, and that goes for remixes as well, as shown above.

Aside from his productions, his skill as a DJ and selector is just as highly regarded with regular stops all around the world. Several gigs at Corsica Studios have provided a lot of special moments and his numerous sets at Berghain show that he's up there with the best. At the moment he's also curating a monthly residency at De School in Amsterdam, one of the city's most talked about clubs.

It's a very unique strain of techno that Lucy brings forward. Melodies are few and far between and synths and harmonic top lines aren't usually present but that's not to say it doesn't take you on a trip. The industrial, dense and at times overwhelming cuts cater for the techno fan who likes to dance with intent. It For those that like 'heads down' raving then his music is the perfect accompaniment, it's not in your face but it takes over and runs through you. This is apparent with his debut In Session mix.
