Three years after Paul Van Dyk’s first Grammy nomination, the artist was slated to produce a remix for Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard’s original composition ‘Poor Choice Of Words’ off the score for The Dark Knight.

As an established dance music icon with global recognition as one of the trance movement’s pioneers, Paul decided to release his first retrospective in 2009.

‘The Best Of: Volume’ was a three-part collection honoring the previous 15 years of his illustrious career, including discs of his original productions and remixes for a total of 40 tracks.
