Yazzus in The Lab LDN

The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Coors Light's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.

We’re currently unable to bring you live parties with DJs playing to crowds while the coronavirus outbreak has put a stop to events, but we are still bringing you new sets from the best DJs, filmed behind closed doors.

On Friday, August 21, we welcome London-based Ghanaian DJ Yazzus to Mixmag HQ.

Go to a rave where Yazzus is playing and it's a guarantee you'll be drenched in sweat by the time her set is over. She's relentless on the decks, often flying towards 160bpm in a flurry of jungle, footwork, souped up bass and more.

Just listen to her Impact mix for us and you'll get what we're saying. That mix is a proper in-yer-face workout featuring tunes by the likes of LCY, Machinedrum, Fracture, DJ Spinn & Taso, Shy FX and more. A couple of her own tunes are thrown in, too, like the intense and ravey '7th Heaven'.

A member of London's 6 Figure Gang (alongside SHERELLE, LCY, Jossy Mitsu, Fauzia and Dobby), Yazzus has been on a hell-raising ascent in the last year, causing dancefloor havoc in places like Gretchen in Berlin and XOYO in London. She's also been co-signed by former Mixmag cover star Mall Grab who had her on his Rinse FM show in June.
