An event being billed as North America's "first-ever drive-in festival of the COVID era" is taking place near Phoenix, Arizona, this weekend across May 29 and 30.

Promoters Relentless Beats say the two-night festival is "the ultimate middle finger to COVID-19."

The Road Rave is being hosted at Wild Horse Motorsports Park and will run from 7pm to 11pm each night. The capacity is limited to 500 cars, with a minimum of two people and maximum of eight per vehicle.

The website states: “The Road Rave is a drive-in concert with a social distanced experience in mind. The ongoing pandemic requires a new way of thinking of live entertainment.”

Attendees are recommended to protect their faces with masks throughout the duration, and social distancing rules will be enforced, with guidance on when people will be allowed to exit their vehicles. No alcohol will be served, but soft drinks and food will be available.

Relentless Beats are promoting the event in collaboration with Las Vegas mainstay Carnage and Rare, the LA management agency who represent him.

The opening night will be headlined by Carnage, who also plays the second night alongside 4B and Valentino Khan’s Hulk Gang project, SAYMYNAME, PAZ and Dr Fresch playing back-to-back with Bijou.
