Four Tet, Skrillex and Fred Again.. closed Coachella second weekend with surprise headlining slot.

Going b3b, Four Tet unexpectedly played out dubstep track ‘Country Riddim’ by HOL! after Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’.

According to HighSnobeity, ‘Country Riddim’ was played twice alongside pop tracks such as ‘Call Me Maybe?’ and Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’.

Back in February, the trio performed another surprise set with The Lot Radio before playing at Times Square.

This pre-show set saw Fred Again.. rewinding Four Tet dropping ‘Country Riddim’ which went viral for what people named, “the worst wheel up of all time”.

According to Billboard, the trio were set play on the satellite stage of Coachella’s main stage, which was previously built as an ice rink for Frank Ocean’s set, but wasn’t used.

Frank Ocean was originally planned to close the festival however, after pulling out citing a leg injury, the slot was left as ‘TBA’.

Fred again.. went on to post cryptic messages teasing the announcement with Four Tet doing the same with a selfie of himself in a t-shirt reading “OMG TBA”.

One fan has named the three DJs' headline slot as “a beautiful moment in history” adding that: “seeing three fairly drastically different artists in the dance scene come together and do one of the most insane huge shows of all time together without losing their identities.”

Other fans have echoed this enthusiasm tweeting: “skrillex fred again & four tet are absolutely iconic & this is such a monumental moment for dance music as a whole. what a performance.”

Last week, Skrillex teased that he might be releasing two more albums this year with a cryptic tweet.
