Ultra Miami shares rare footage of its inaugural event in ‘99
Featuring interviews with John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Josh Wink
Ahead of Ultra Music Festival’s 20 year anniversary, the massive dance music brand has put together a mini-documentary about its first South Beach event in 1999.
The eight-minute video features classic footage of the festival’s early days and in-depth interviews with the likes of Josh Wink, Tiësto, Nic Fanciulli and John Digweed. Discussing early rave culture in the US, the Winter Music Conference in Miami, PLUR and much more, the four artists paint a colorful description on UMF’s ability to attract international audiences and create one of the most recognized dance music destinations to date.
