Uganda’s Nyege Nyege Festival unveils line-up for eighth edition
This year’s line-up includes Tash LC, Sarra Wild, and De Schuurman
The eighth edition of Uganda’s Nyege Nyege Festival is set to go ahead next month from November 9 - 12 at ‘the source of the River Nile’ in Jinja, Eastern Uganda.
Nyege Nyege has revealed details for its next edition, including a full line-up which this year includes the likes of Tash LC, Menzi, De Schuurman, Sarra Wild, DJ Marcelle, and more.
With a continued focus on African dance music, Nyege Nyege celebrates a far-spread reach of electronic artists with major acts from Uganda and Kenya, including headliners Mejja and Trio Mio.

Amongst those heading onto the main stage this year is Ugandan talent EddyKenzo, Apass, Janzi Band, and Karole Kasita. Meanwhile, Nyege Nyege also celebrates fledgling sub-genres such as Swahili trap (SHRAP) from the likes of Boutross.
Those appearing on the line-up this year hail from all over Africa and beyond, including Tanzania, South Africa, Malawi, Ghana, Algeria, South Sudan, Mauritius, Saint Lucia, and further afield.
“A whose who of pioneers, OGs, rule breakers and ground shakers,” Nyege Nyege announced on Instagram over the weekend. “MEET THIS YEARS NYEGE NYEGE LINEUP. You’re not ready for this!”

Artists are set to perform across the festival’s nine stages this year stretching across the source of the River Nile, offering boat trips and water activities from the festival site and food experiences within the Nyege Nyege grounds.
With an emphasis on DIY music culture, Nyege Nyege also offers wellness programs with yoga and fitness experiences, a theatre showcasing the best of African cinema, and the Nyege East African Emporium featuring brands and creatives from the region.
