TSHA shares details of second album ‘Sad Girl' alongside new single 'Girls'

TSHA has shared details of their second album, ‘Sad Girl’ — set to land on September 27 via Ninja Tune.

The announcement is accompanied by the release of new single, entitled ‘Girls’, featuring Rose Gray, and is the second track to be released from the forthcoming project, following on from her recent release of the summer-tinged track ‘Sweet Devotion’ which featured Caroline Byrne.

‘Girls’ is described as “a proper club anthem" for "the girls and the gays" to soundtrack messy nights, buoyed up by electro production and an earworm hook for vocalist Rose Gray, which repeats the mantra: "It's my body it's my mind."

According to TSHA, the forthcoming project will channel a range of emotions and address “difficult feelings," as well as a new direction for the DJ, producer and live artist — seeing her apply her “vocal stamp” on tracks and approach new genres that she’s always wished to experiment with, "without fear or seeking of approval."

'Sad Girl' follows on from TSHA's 2022 debut album 'Capricorn Sun', which saw the former Mixmag Cover Star channel house influences as well as UK garage and early rave.

In the years following her debut, TSHA has been nominated for a MOBO and a GRAMMY award, and collaborated with a wide variety of artists, such as Diplo, Ellie Goulding, and legendary singer Gregory Porter.
