Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter is scoring a new ballet

‘Mythologies’ will debut in 2022

Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter is scoring a new ballet

Thomas Bangalter, formerly one half of Daft Punk, has announced that he’s scoring a new ballet titled ‘Mythologies’ that will debut in 2022.

The ballet is a collaboration between Opéra National de Bordeaux and Ballet Preljocaj and runs for 90 minutes. According to an official description, the performance ‘explores contemporary rituals and the founding myths that shape the collective imagination’.

Angelin Preljocaj, founder of Ballet Preljocaj will direct the ballet, while Bangalter’s score will be realised by The Orchestre National Bordeaux. Musical direction will be undertaken by Romain Dumas.
