A new exhibition, Detroit: Techno City, opened at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London yesterday (July 27), covering the Motor City sound from its 1970s origins up until the early 90s.
Key players such as Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Derrick May and Richie Hawtin all feature, with a wide selection of photographs by Marie Staggat on show.
Artwork of records by Juan Atkins' Model 500 alias and installations by Mark Blower are also being exhibited. Check out a collection of images of the exhibition in the gallery above.
Detroit: Techno City runs until September 25 in the ICA's Fox Reading Room. Head here for more information.
