Codex Empire subject us to a pummelling with their rework of The Soft Moon’s ‘Without’.
After a brief moody and beatless intro, the heavy drilling begins with the introduction of some relentless beats and dramatic detuned chimes.
The beats get more intense as the track progresses, with a male vocal eventually coming in to give the track even more of an impact. The Soft Moon are a post-punk band, so you can imagine how moving the singing is. Amen to this.
