The Peacock Society turns five this weekend with Nina Kraviz and Carl Craig
We’re excited
The Peacock Society is set to take place this weekend at Parc Floral in Paris. Now in its fifth year, the French festival has locked in one of its most diverse lineups yet.
On Friday the festival will showcase a darker, more techno orientated sound with Nina Kraviz (pictured), Marcel Dettmann, Jackmaster and Levon Vincent set to play. Carl Craig will also be on hand to present his Versus Synthesizer Ensemble live show. Rumbling, industrial techno comes courtesy of Ancient Methods and a live set from Varg.
On Saturday night the focus veers towards a more house-orientated sound. Dixon will showcase the Innervisions take on deep house, whilst Moodymann will likely deliver another one of his party starting sets. Midland, Appolonia and Avalon Emerson fill out the lineup. Romare will perform will a full live band and up-and-comer Jlin will play a live set.
The festival takes place in the botanical gardens of Parc Floral, a lush, green space in the suburb of Vincennes in south east Paris. Year on year, The Peacock Society has expanded its vision, branching into talks and documentary screenings whilst maintaining a solid yet constantly evolving booking ethos.
