The North Face celebrate 25 years of the Nuptse
The brand is re-releasing the original jacket
As Luxe-sportswear trends continue to dominate the fashion world, with the likes of Balenciaga, JW Anderson and Rick Owens re-interpreting the Puffer Jacket, The North Face is celebrating 25 years championing the popular style, with the re-release of their iconic Nuptse.
Originally released in 1992, the Nuptse (Tibetan for ‘west peak’) the technical, puffy silhouette featured the worlds first innovative baffle construction, which was designed to insulate the jacket and increase warmth, whilst still being lightweight and durable. Making it a popular choice for those hiking the Himalayas, as well as style conscious New York rappers.
To celebrate the birth of the much loved silhouette, The North Face are re-releasing a range of exact replicas of the 1992 jacket, complete with RDS-certified goose down, celebration labels and the North Face woven label on sleeve.
Original colour block styles include Colbat Blue, The North Face Red, The North Face Black, in full jacket and gilet form.
