The ‘Long Wait’ is over for Dusky’s new video

‘Long Wait’ is the next single to be taken from Dusky’s forthcoming album ‘Outer’, which lands on October 14 and features collaborations with Gary Numan, Wiley, and more.

Solomon Grey features on the new cut which combines a driving functional foundation with emotive vocals to anthemic effect, and arrives backed with a disorientating one-take video directed by Noel Paul and shot in Lebanon.

The starring actor holds his breath for the three-minute duration, as he floats fully clothed in an underwater environment that flashes between murky darkness and glowing brilliance as colourful rays of light shoot into the depths.

Speaking about the clip, Paul said: “Directing a one-take video underwater was great fun. We synchronized the action sonically, by banging a rock against the side of the pool underwater. Meanwhile our actor Marcos was able to hold his breath for the entire three minutes over and over again while his body cooled down to a scarily low temperature. There’s no trickery, he really held his breath!”

Dusky are also set to embark on a 32-date global tour next month, starting in Washington D.C. on October 6 and culminating at Liverpool’s ENRG nightspot on December 3, with dates in Finland, Germany, Spain, Canada, Ireland and more in between.

The UK dates will premiere the duo's brand new live show, with a homecoming gig at London's Oval Space locked in for October 19. Head to Dusky’s website for further details, and visit iTunes to pre-order ‘Outer’.
