The Cause set to open new Dalston restaurant and cocktail hi-fi bar The Marquee Moon
The restaurant and hi-fi listening bar will be open from August 15
East London nightclub The Cause is opening a new restaurant and hi-fi listening bar in Dalston.
The Marquee Moon will be open for business from Thursday, August 15, on Stoke Newington Road, as the newest venture from The Cause co-founders Stuart Glen and Eugene Wild.
The bar takes its name from “American rock band Television’s cult 1977 album”, and follows the opening of All My Friends in Hackney Wick, and The Greyhound in Peckham.

On Fridays and Saturdays the venue will have music until 3:AM from a variety of selectors, with the DJs programmed by The Cause for their “Moonlight Sessions” selections, playing out of the state of the art JBL hi-fi sound system that has been fitted courtesy of AudioGold.
Some of the DJs set to soundtrack the bar over the coming weeks include NTS resident Mafalda, long-serving DJ and Secretsundaze co-founder Giles Smith, The Cause resident Rosy Ross, Grace Sands, Charlie Bones & OG (Do!!You!!! World!) and many more.

Taking over from the iconic boozer The Marquis of Lansdowne, the bar will serve British pub classics with an Asian twist, drawing inspiration from India, Thailand, and China, making it Wild and Glen's most food-focused venue to date.
