Synkro is releasing his debut album this autumn
'Changes' arrives on Apollo Records on September 18
The debut album from Manchester producer Synkro is coming this September on R&S Records offshoot, Apollo.
'Changes', out on September 18, follows his 'Transient' EP on the label last year and sees Joe McBride in mostly downbeat and gloomy atmospherics mode, although a couple of tracks - 'Body Close' and 'Midnight Sun' - incite a shift in mood.
The press release says he approached music differently having listened to the likes of Florian Fricke of Popol Vuh and Tangerine Dream, and he outlines the history of electronic music as an inspiration.
"Finding early electronic music has always been a massive inspiration to me, learning the roots of where everything we listen to now comes from.
"It always amazes me how much has already been done with electronic music but it still keeps progressing."
