Super Flu, Patrick Topping and Patrice Bäumel among first Rainbow Serpent names
The Australian festival reveals its first round line-up for 2019
Australian bush doof juggernaut Rainbow Serpent has announced its first round line-up, including Patrice Bäumel, Patrick Topping and Super Flu (pictured).
Secret Cinema & Egbert live, Way Out West, Oliver Koletzki, Matador, Christopher Lawrence, Eluize, Nakadia, Pixel and Tristan are among the other artists playing the 22nd edition of the scene favourite from January 25-28 next year.
More than 100 Australian acts are still to be added to the festival, which also features the work of a stack of visual artists through outdoor galleries, large-scale installations and multimedia shows at its site about two hours west of Melbourne.
Rainbow Serpent launched a community arts foundation earlier this year to fund year-long residencies for visual artists to create a sculpture park and trail to encourage more tourism benefits for local communities.
