Spokes
Stone cold banger from the Coyote Records artist
After icy, winding grime beats? London producer Spokes has got a fair few for you.
Part of South London label Coyote Records, alongside Last Japan, Chemist and OH91, Slackk and the Boxed guys are fans, giving 'Miami Vice' and 'XXVII' runs on NTS and Rinse respectively in the past few months. If you fancy a taste of his skills on deck then listen to his part on Local Action's Radar Radio show last month.
It's not long until debut EP 'Green Eyes' is out, opening your ears up to even more melodic bangers. 'Lo Pan Strikes' has got all the elements you'd expect from a grime-producing monk and 'Mutations' moves in the way the title suggests.
To whet your appetite before the EP drops, Spokes has served up 'Cold Logic' as a free treat. Keeping up appearances, this one's stone cold, packed with hyperactive claps, shattered glass and all sorts of bass-coated weirdness to keep you guessing.
The 'Green Eyes' EP is out on June 1 digitally and June 28 on vinyl. Pre-order it here
