Soup Manchester launch new campaign to support next-gen promoters in the city

Manchester venue Soup has launched a new campaign to support next-generation promoters in the city, in attempt to "nurture the future of the city's nightlife".

The concept - for which Soup have teamed up with Absolut - promises to work with three emerging promoters on Thursday club nights, allowing them the opportunity to broaden their skillset and build experience in the industry. Soup will offer support with promotion, bookings, free venue hire and overall development.

Applications to be involved with the scheme are open now; younger promoters are encouraged to present their ideas for parties within which would particularly suit the midweek slot.

“Our motivation for working on this project is primarily to recognise and connect with the next generation of promoters in Manchester,” the venue explain. “In a landscape of diminishing attendance at independent venues from younger crowds, it’s paramount that this kind of relationship is nurtured if we’re to maintain this integral part of the fragile club ecosystem.

“We’ve spent the last few years, notably post-covid, doing as much as we can as a venue to make promoting and clubbing accessible for everybody, and Absolut’s input on this project is helping us to extend that sustainability as running costs soar higher and higher.”
