Smartbar announces Nina Kraviz and Honey Dijon for Daphne series
Cassy, Jane Fitz and Heidi also feature on the line-ups
Smartbar has announced a new event series titled Daphne: A Women’s Movement In Dance Music which will run at the Chicago nightspot throughout March.
Daphne is a celebration of women, female-identifying and non-binary artists, inviting many of the scene’s finest to perform at the club across Women’s History Month as a reminder that “women always have been and always will be central to dance and electronic music culture.”
The first party takes place on Friday March 3 with Elysia Crampton performing live alongside LA Spacer and Ariel Zetina, with Heidi, Lux and Loren helming the booth the following night.
After the opening weekend, nine more parties will take place, featuring Nina Kraviz, Jane Fitz, Volvox, Octo Octa, Lady Blacktronika, Cassy, Honey Dijon (pictured), K-Hand and residents The Black Madonna, Eris Drew, Sassmouthand DJ Heather, with more to be announced.
