Ingi Visions in The Lab LDN: Julian Alexander b2b Samuel Deep

The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Coors Light's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.

This Friday we welcome pumping Dutch house label SlapFunk into The Lab LDN for a special showcase helmed by Julian Alexander b2b Samuel Deep aka IngiVision.

Samuel Deep introduced his younger brother Julian Alexander to electronic music by taking him to an illegal rave at the age of 14, and from this point the sibling duo have worked together to form a close musical partnership.

They started SlapFunk in 2009 by throwing their own illegal outdoor forest rave, and in 2012 launched the label arm of the operation with the split ‘Raw Joints’ EP featuring Malin Genie, Daniele Temperilli, Anil Aras and Samuel Deep. Its title set out an MO for the subsequent outings on the imprint, which have showcased a raw, powerful, jacking style of house music.

The label has also forayed into murky UK garage territory on tracks such as Samuel Deep’s bass-loaded edit of Grobbie’s ‘Headshot’, which does irreparable damage on the dancefloor and receives regular rotation from the likes of Ryan Elliott, Bicep and Loco Dice.

This summer SlapFunk artists are touring throughout Europe and the label recently dropped the highly anticipated ‘Raw Joints’ LP to mark its fifth anniversary.

Expect slamming floor-primed cuts to feature prominently throughout this week's Lab LDN as Samuel Deep and Julian Alexander's showcase why their two of the freshest artists in the game.

The live stream starts at 5pm BST this Friday, June 9. You can tune in live over on our Facebook page and re-watch on MixmagTV from 6:30pm BST.
