Selects: Sirus Hood
High energy and house spins from Sirus Hood ahead of Phoenix Lights
Following contributions from Guy Gerber and Honey Dijon, Mixmag's next Selects playlist arrives from French artist Sirus Hood.
A mainstay in the house realm with release favorites out on Dirtybird and CUFF, Sirus Hood is currently out on a North American tour with German house riser Sacha Robotti. Together, they'll head to Arizona come April 8 for performances at the Phoenix Lights Festival.
It's no surprise that Sirus Hood's picks make up a rowdy and bouncy set list ranging from Eats Everything to Kerri Chandler.
Get into the playlist for a teaser of what to expect from Sirus and Sacha Robotti's stop at Phoenix Lights below.

Eats Everything & Lord Leopard 'War Rhythm'
Another banger from Eats Everything on Dirtybird that smashes the dance floor every time. It's a weapon that drives people crazy!
Baba Stiltz 'Are You Mad? Cause I’m Not Mad…'
I adore the sweetness of this music, it quickly gets stuck in your head. It brings a sense of peace within, that's what I love about it.
Sirus Hood 'Serenade'
I'm very proud of this one. It just released on Ki Creighton's label, Under No Illusion. The break is so unique and builds up a tension that unleashes explosive reactions at the drop. A very melodic and powerful track.
Vozmediano 'Back2Soul'
A track that brings out the Mr. and Mrs. Funky out in everyone, including me! Instant smiles from the whole crowd every time I play this tune.
Phil Weeks feat. Ladybird 'She Can’t Love You'
I'm a big fan of this tune, and I’ve been playing it on every gig of my North American tour! Absolutely lovely voice and an unforgettable groove. It sounds so classic, yet it is brand new.
Kerri Chandler 'Hallelujah' (Gospel Mix)
This one combines two things that I love: spirituality and house music. This track is amazing and I'm an unconditional fan of Kerri Chandler.
Dennis Cruz 'See Line' (Wade Remix)
Big up to my bro Dennis Cruz for the original and big up to Wade who remixed this track beautifully, it has so much power and is so effective.
Syclops 'Where’s Jason’s K'
I fell in love with this track's funkiness. The whole track literally is a piece of funky art! I adore playing it, it's unexpected for the crowd and always works like a charm.
Geeeman 'Wanna Go Bang' (Catz N' Dogz Interpretation)
Catz N' Dogz never disappointed me. This track is dirty, powerfully groovy and addictive. Nothing really more to say, except that I like everything about it.
Nina Kraviz feat. King Aus 'Rekids' (The Rhythm Odyssey Warehouse Tape Edit)
This track brings you progressively into a whole different universe - the acidness and the soft vocals are so complementary. Another great piece of art.
