Scaefa returns to La bonne musique with old-school rave EP
The record closes with a techno remix from La bonne musique co-founder n_o
Scaefa has shared his new EP via La bonne musique, 'Ambrosia'.
The release follows his 2022 'Natural Selection' record, and shares three nostalgic club cuts.
Opener 'Symbiosis' introduces the 'Ambrosia' with swirling synths before breaking into a racy bass finish, before 'Locate' continues the broken beats with rich melodies and pops of synth.

Following the three cuts is the titular track, which takes pitched-up vocals and a delicate 303 complimented by high-energy jungle drums.
“I spent a lot of time listening to 90s trance and UK jungle/hardcore pirate radio mixes whilst making these tunes, and the result is an amalgam of breaks/techno/trance and ambient moments," Scaefa explains. "This project is nostalgic musically and emotionally, with the tracks made in a period of my life spent looking back/reflecting on the past. I find the music to be both euphoric and melancholic at times.”
Closing the EP is a remix of 'Locate' from La bonne musique co-founder n_o, fka bad internet, who himself has launched another label, Manual Smiles. Transforming the rich original into an bonafide acid techno cut, it feels truly reflective and aligned with the purpose of the EP.
