Dekmantel has unveiled the second instalment in its Selectors documentary series that focuses on exceptional record diggers.
Sassy J is the subject, and a number of important people from her life such as close friends and her mother feature, discussing the Bern-born DJ’s past and love for music and colours.
“It all started with being attracted to colours, patterns and fabrics. So through that, I actually started reading more about their cultures and philosophies. I find it so inspiring because a lot of art is timeless to me. And when we’re talking about the music, it triggers a ‘wow’-effect, a mind-blowing experience, and that’s what I look for in everything," says Sassy J.
In the video she also shows off hand-made Moodymann and John Coltrane clothing in her picturesque home in the Swiss mountains. Check it out below.
