Samsung may acquire Tidal
Tidal might have found its lifeboat
A massive brand alignment could be on the horizon. Samsung may be in in line to purchase Jay Z's Tidal streaming service.
Quite similar to Apple’s acquisition of Beats Electronics last year, rival brand Samsung’s deal with Tidal could mean a full integration of the platform into the company’s products.
Tidal received a major boost with the recent exclusive releases of Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ and Kanye's 'The Life Of Pablo'. Tidal, now valued at $100 million, would be a decisive addition to Samsung, which has been struggling to break into the music streaming game.
For now, both companies are yet to make formal statements.
