Peckham's Rye Wax is running a new electronic music programme for 18 to 25-year-olds
The scheme will provide masterclasses and workshops for aspiring artists, mentored by Rye Wax affiliates Medlar, FYI Chris, Lia Mice and more
Peckham venue and record store Rye Wax has announced it will be running a new electronic music youth mentorship programme.
Launching this month through to June, the London-based scheme will provide masterclasses and workshops for aspiring artists aged between 18 and 25 years-old.
Mentoring at the sessions include Rye Wax affiliates including, Medlar, FYI Chris, Lia Mice and The Golden Filter.

Equipment will be provided such as laptops with DAWs, a range of analogue hardware, DJ equipment and much more.
The application page explains: “Whilst we are accepting applications from everyone, we particularly encourage applications from QTIBPOC / global majority, disabled and other groups underrepresented in the music industry.”

Rye Wax has been open for almost 10 years in Copeland Park, Peckham with an ethos to shine a light on underrepresented or marginalised music and “providing a space for countercultural movements to flourish.”
