Radiohead and Hans Zimmer collaborate for BBC's Blue Planet II
Does "epic" even cover it?
News has just broke that Radiohead and Hans Zimmer have collaborated for the upcoming BBC series Blue Planet II.
The primary piece titled '(Ocean) Bloom' is an exclusive re-edit of Radiohead's 'Bloom' from their 2011 album 'The King Of Limbs', which was inspired by the first season of Blue Planet.
The new track, influenced by oceanic sounds and rhythms, was recorded by the BBC Concert Orchestra under Zimmer's direction with a new set of vocals from Thom Yorke.
Blue Planet II will continue the series' original focal point of deep sea exploration and natural history with returning narrator Sir David Attenborough.
'(Ocean) Bloom' will debut on September 27 during the release of a five-minute prequel feature for Blue Planet II.
