Burial drops an emotive new single on Hyperdub with a Kode9 remix
In top form once again
It’s never easy to predict when a new Burial release will surface, so one shouldn’t be surprised that today he’s dropped a new single on Hyperdub that’s paired with a remix by Kode9.
Titled ‘Rodent’, the new track is Burial’s second release of 2017 following the ‘Subtemple’ EP. As the latter release focused on an ambient motif, the mysterious producer takes a more rhythmic approach on ‘Rodent’, utilizing an emotive vocal hook and a more soulful sound profile with delicate saxophone riffs.
The digital release of ‘Rodent’ is out now while the 10” vinyl will be released September 22.
