Dial Qendresa's 'Midnight Request Line' for her new EP

North London artist Qendresa this week released her new EP ‘Midnight Request Line’.

The Kilburn-based self-taught producer leans heavily into a woozy, vintage RnB sound that instantly entices.

Qendresa was born and raised in London by Kosovar parents, and it’s this blend of identities and upbringings that comes out heavily on ‘Midnight Request Line’.

Of the EP, Qendresa has commented, “This project was inspired by my experiences with relationships and friendships. Being let down by people I trusted became the norm and it drove me crazy. I didn’t want to see anyone and sat in my room (prior to lockdown) and just created, taught myself production, expressed everything I was going through in the music.

I honestly thank the universe for giving me this ability to express my emotions via art, I dread to think of the other ways I would have gotten over my heartaches.”

Qendresa has held a monthly NTS show since 2018. Her previous 2017 release, ‘Shades on, Pt.1’, was a collaborative release with producer Hugo Mari.
