Premiere: Alix Perez and Spectrasoul provide the chills on 'So Close'
Dream team
Spectrasoul and Alix Perez are no strangers to a collaboration. Back in 2009 the duo and Belgian producer hooked up on 'Forsaken', a divine drum 'n' bass crooner with the vocals of Peven Everett.
In the last few years each of them have set up their own labels - Spectrasoul with Ish Chat Music and Alix Perez with 1985 Music. Now they're bringing the two together for the 'Synergy' EP, a four-tracker of "concise, stripped back, mature and soulful music that bumps".
'So Close' is our premiere pick, a slick tune guaranteed to give you the chills. It's got mind-massaging pads, ever-so-subtle wails sweeping in and out and icy vocals that are evident in Perez's work time and time again.
The 'Synergy' EP is out on April 28
